Meet Our Team

Shannon Flint PT, DPT, WCS

Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist | Omaha, NE

Shannon is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a Board Certified Women's Health Physical Therapy Specialist (WCS). She specializes in pelvic floor physical therapy for both men and women, treating a wide range of conditions including bladder and bowel dysfunction, pelvic pain, sexual dysfunction, and pre- and postpartum care.

Shannon earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2013. She began her career in neuro rehabilitation, where she helped develop an inpatient continence specialty program addressing bladder, bowel, and sexual dysfunction for individuals recovering from stroke, orthopedic trauma, and cardiopulmonary conditions. She went on to complete a Women's Health Physical Therapy Residency at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

After returning to Omaha in 2019, Shannon helped build pelvic health programs at hospital-based outpatient clinics in Council Bluffs and Omaha, where she spent four years treating adult patients — both men and women — with pelvic floor dysfunction and related conditions. Her experience working with male patients includes pelvic pain, urinary dysfunction, post-surgical rehabilitation, and other pelvic health concerns that are often underserved in traditional PT settings.

Shannon's clinical skill set includes dry needling certification and Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) certification, both of which she incorporates into her treatment of pelvic health conditions. She has completed over 400 hours of pelvic health continuing education and is a lifelong learner committed to staying at the forefront of evidence-based pelvic floor care.

Shannon believes in treating the whole person — building a strong therapeutic alliance grounded in trust and collaboration. She sees her role as a facilitator and coach, working alongside each client to support their own healing, encourage self-advocacy, and connect them with other healthcare professionals when needed to fully address their individual goals.

Shannon lives in the Omaha area with her husband, Cory, their son, Arthur, and their black lab mix, Nadiya. Outside the clinic, she enjoys family hiking vacations, trail walks, watching Husker volleyball, biking, and working out with Sydney Cummings Houdyshell.

From Dr. Kim’s Patients

I would love to recommend Pelvic Wellness physical therapy on S. 203rd in Elkhorn to anyone who has been referred or wishes to rehab their pelvic floor. Having severe COPD, they have taught me exercises to increase and strengthen my pelvic floor muscles while doing breathing techniques! Thank you, Kim, for your kind and expertise and to Dr Trainer for recommending you to me!

Shelley

Dr. Kim Rudd was amazing to work with. I felt like we made a lot of progress and the exercises she gave me helped heal my pelvic floor and diastasis recti issues postpartum.

Keegan

Kim was absolutely amazing! I went in questioning so much about things going on PP and within that first visit I had already felt a difference. I could not recommend Pelvic Wellness enough. They really get to know YOU and care for YOU. Kim gave me exercises that not only helped me build strength, but pertained to my daily lifestyle as well.

From Dr. Nicole’s Patients

I would recommend Nicole at Pelvic Wellness PT to anyone! I had been suffering from severe back pain for almost a year when my Physical Therapist suggested integrating Pelvic Floor PT into my recovery regimen. I noticed significant improvement after learning more about proper breathing/bracing techniques and exercises that pertained to the pelvic floor. Nicole is an excellent teacher and aims to equip her patients with the knowledge they need to succeed. I am an avid Crossfitter and was really struggling mentally with the limitations and pain that my injury was causing. Nicole has helped me tremendously in my recovery process, and I am thankful for her welcoming demeanor and thoughtfulness through this process.

I honestly don't know where I'd be without Nicole! After my prolapse surgery, I was feeling pretty lost about how to rebuild my strength and take care of my pelvic floor. Nicole made the whole process so much easier and less intimidating. From day one, she was kind, understanding, and incredibly knowledgeable.

She explained everything in a way that made sense and gave me practical exercises that actually worked. She's one of those people who genuinely cares and wants to see you succeed, which made such a difference in my recovery. I never felt embarrassed or uncomfortable, and she always made me feel like my progress (no matter how small) was worth celebrating.

Thanks to Nicole, I feel stronger, more confident, and much more like myself again. If you're struggling with pelvic floor issues, do yourself a favor and go see her. She's amazing, and I can't recommend her enough!
